Weekly Briefing (Nov. 8-14)


  • On Nov. 11, a delegation from Corvinus University of Budapest visited Fudan University. Before that, the English-taught Fudan-Corvinus Double Degree MBA Program has been well received by middle- and high-level corporate managers and government officials in Hungary and the rest of Central and Eastern Europe. 


  • Utilizing 5G communication, 8 Fudan-affiliated hospitals, including Zhongshan Hospital, Huashan Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology hospital, Children’s Hospital, Huadong Hospital, Public Health Clinical Center, Minhang Hospital and Qingpu Central Hospital, offered on-site medical care for the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE).

  • The launching ceremony of Institute for Cultural Relics Protection Innovation, Fudan University & Cultural Relics Protection Innovation Summit was held at Fudan on Nov. 12. Over 300 people, including heads from the National Library of China, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Library, Shanghai Archives, Shanghai History Museum, Shanghai Local Chronicle Office and professionals from at home and abroad, attended the event.


  • EBioMedicine published the study on “sandwich” therapeutic strategy for functional cure of chronic hepatitis B in mice by the research team, led by Yuan Zhenghong and Ying Tianlei, from Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology of Fudan University. PhD. candidate Shi Bisheng is the first author.


  • Fudan wins the first prize and the “Best Project” award at the 3rd China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest.

  • Fudan wins at 2019-2020 Men’s China University Volleyball Association (CUVA) - Southern China Division.


  • Summing-up Meeting of the Summer Extracurricular Activities 2019 was held on Nov. 8. Students shared their experiences of the volunteer services, field surveys, innovative entrepreneurship, international internships and etc.


  • On Nov. 10, the 2019 Shanghai International Students’ Chinese Poetry Recitation Contest, themed “Poetry of Profundities, Ode to Friendship”, was held at Fudan University. More than 300 overseas students from 18 universities entered for the competition. 



  • The “Scientific Spirit and Patriotism of Fudan Academics” themed seminar was held on Nov. 12. The audience listened to the stories of  the geneticist Tong Dizhou and the public health pioneer Yan Fuqing.
