2019 Sino-U.S. Nursing Forum, host by School of Nursing, Fudan University, was opened in Shanghai on September 27.
Vice president of Fudan University and president of Shanghai Medical College Gui Yonghao, vice president of Chinese Nursing Association and dean of School of Nursing of Peking Union Medical College Li Zheng, president of Shanghai Nursing Association Xu Xiaoping, president of American Academy of Nursing and dean of the New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing Eileen Sullivan-Marx, addressed the opening ceremony. The ceremony was also joined by the vice chairperson of Shanghai Women’s Federation Weng Wenlei and vice president of Shanghai Medical College Wu Fan.
The theme of this forum is “Advancing Nursing Development through Collaboration.” It is aimed to promote the development of the nursing discipline through international collaboration and partnerships. About 500 domestic and international scholars in the nursing field joined the meeting and nearly 100 experts in medical nursing delivered speeches, sharing with the audience progress made in health promotion and nursing research.
The forum has set up a main conference venue and four concurrent sessions, including EBNP session, big data and PRO session, long-term care session, and critical care and leadership session. Professors and experts from more than 20 universities have attended the concurrent sessions and delivered keynote speeches.
Scholars and experts exchanged their opinions on implementation research, medical and educational collaboration, primary health care, health technology assessment, patient reports, big data and innovation, and long-term care session.
School of Nursing Fudan University will continue to foster multi-disciplinary and multi-regional communication, and dedicate itself to “Healthy China 2030” as well as global health.
